St. Johns Outdoors works out of 4949 Sunbeam Rd #2. Jacksonville is the shortest drive we make, and it is the one place in our service area where you can turn up during business hours and speak to a person instead of leaving a message.
That matters more than it sounds. A lot of hardscape complaints come down to the same story: the contractor finished, invoiced, and became difficult to reach. We have a staffed address, a phone answered here weekdays from 9am to 5pm, and we get back to emails quickly.
Jacksonville also gives us the broadest range of work anywhere we build. A driveway that has been in the ground for decades, a pool deck poured when the house was new, and a bare backyard on a just-finished lot are all a normal week here.
Duval permitting, told straight
Permitting in Duval County is the least predictable part of building here. Sometimes it is quick. Sometimes it takes a long time. Nobody can tell you in advance which one you are getting, and a contractor who promises you a date is guessing.
So we plan around it. Engineering comes first after you approve the quote, then the permit goes in, and install follows once the permit is in hand. The timeline you get from us already assumes Duval will be Duval.
We would rather have that conversation before you sign than explain it afterwards. It is the most common source of frustration on a Jacksonville project and it is almost entirely avoidable by being honest at the start.
